BLUE

Freeman was based on the compositions in the book Blue. All the compositions (plus a bonus one) can be found in the book. The music is simple and would be a good fit to almost any level pianist with basic reading skills. See samples below.

"Mr. Perl has given us some really sophisticated contemporary jazz music that can be really played well by pianists with limited experience or limited dexterity. The pieces don't feel watered down or childish, no stereotypes here. This music is appropriate for young people up to octogenarians... "

Reviews
"The books achieve so much of musical interest and harmonic variety in otherwise simple pedagogical music. I know this to be a very difficult goal to achieve..." Albert Frantz, Key-notes.com
"On top of all the great pedagogy, the pieces are quirky, harmonically interesting...and are just fun to play, fun to listen to, and good selections for a student piano recital.."
Thomas J West & Dr. Allyson Roberts
